KWord is the word processor, part of the KOffice project from the KDE desktop environment.

Although there are similarities names, KWord is not merely copied from Microsoft Word. Although the main features are expected to be supported by KWord Word, in several key respects there is a difference between the two. Each new page is basically a frame, text can flow in this frame because KWord ability to link one frame to another.
